In 2013 alone, 101 people were killed by impaired drivers in Tulsa County. One hundred and one gifts were placed under the Tree of Life at Woodland Hills Mall to signify the 101 lives lost. Tulsa Safe Communities partner members used this opportunity to remind Oklahoma’s to never drive impaired. The Tree of Life will remain in Woodland Hills Mall throughout the holiday season. Pledge cards are available at the tree for mall patrons to sign and promise not to drink and drive this holiday season.
